Sir,
This is a rejoinder to the above communication. The two stray dogs (a less than year stray dog from VMC pumping station, opposite Kalali temple, orange long furred male dog with a past fractured hind leg caught on the 30th of November and a puppy, who was two months old, brindled, and her forelimb bent inwards due to an old fracture caught on the 22nd of November from outside Hyundai showroom, Kalali) who were taken by Yash Foundation have not been brought back.
What was done to them by Yash Foundation?
1. Were they relocated?
2. Were they sold off for dog meat?
3. Were they sent for animal testing?
4. Were they exported?
Please probe the scam. This amounts to gross violation of animal birth control rules by Yash Foundation in Baroda. As mentioned before, their wrongdoings have repeatedly come under the scanner and despite that how they are being allowed to operate is questionable.
The ABC in charge, VMC, has maintained pin drop silence as always.
I once again request for immediate termination of ABC contract of Yash Foundation.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Mrs. Hansa Roy

Sub: Requesting immediate termination of ABC contract of YASH Domestic Research Foundation in Baroda for gross violation of animal birth control rules
Sir,
I am Mrs. Hansa Roy, a geologist. I have been tending to hundreds of stray dogs (daily feeding, sterilisation, vaccination against rabies, lifelong medical needs) in many areas of the city of Baroda, Gujarat for the past 17 years, through personal finances. I have been able to touch more than a couple of thousands of canine lives on the streets who have been and are being cared for their entire lifetime. Ido not run an NGO/Trust and everything is done out of our family’s personal finances and efforts.
I am writing to you concerning the repeated violations of animal birth control rules by an organisation named YASH Domestic Research Foundation that is carrying out the ABC programme in Baroda. In a latest, they caught a less than year stray dog from VMC pumping station, opposite Kalali temple, orange long furred male dog with a past fractured hind leg. He could not run and that is why they were able to catch him. When a concerned citizen rushed upon hearing the commotion, they fled away with the dog. When do they record the details of said caught stray dog? It means the van reaches YASH Foundation at Khatamba full of stray dogs with no particulars of their identities and precise locations. What happens to these stray dogs? Where are they dropped back or are they dropped back at all?
Then, on the 22nd of November they caught a puppy, she was two months old, brindled, and her forelimb bent inwards due to an old fracture. She also walked with a big limp. She was picked up from outside Hyundai showroom, Kalali. What did they do to her? Why did they catch her in the first place?
This is not an isolated instance of stray dog removal by YASH Domestic Research Foundation. This is a daily affair with more gruesome activities;
1. There is no landline number or mobile number of YASH Domestic Research Foundation should one want to enquire about the stray dogs caught by them. Basically, all the caught stray dogs are at their mercy.
2. They run away with their catch. So when do they record the details of the caught stray dogs? If they go by recording details while offloading dogs at their shelter and relying solely on catchers memory, it is anybody’s guess the blunders they might be making.
3. Sterilised stray dogs are removed under the pretext of revaccination/booster shot against rabies.
4. Their facility is so dilapidated that the caught stray dogs often escape from the facility. They are also found roaming around the premises and when a van enters the premises, they escape.
5. Pups and pregnant and lactating mother dogs are taken by them.
6. They have championed stray dog removal under the garb of ABC.
7. There is manhandling of stray dogs.
In a nutshell, they are violating all the ABC rules. Stray dogs taken by them are truly at their mercy, they are kept under inhuman conditions where most perish. In peak summer, they had no fans and no water inside the cages for the dogs. With the tin roof burning on their head, most of the stray dogs perished in their facility during that period. They are punishable under PCA Act 1960, IPC 428 and IPC 429 and for grossly violating ABC Rules.
How is such an irresponsible organization allowed to flourish and carry out ABC? How did they get separate permission from AWBI for carrying out ABC when the ground reality is polar opposite? In the past also, their misdeeds have repeatedly come under the scanner.
It is my sincere request to kindly terminate the ABC contract of YASH Domestic Research Foundation at the earliest to stop the blatant cruelty to stray dogs and for wasting honest tax payers money as they are killing and removing stray dogs.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Mrs. Hansa Roy
