Dear Sentosa Management,
We appreciate the fact that atleast you are responding to our criticism in a positive manner, however your justification of keeping dolphins in domestication and giving an excuse of keeping them well, sadly does not go down well with most animal lovers.
Dolphins are marine WILDLIFE , which means they are not supposed to be domesticated like dogs or horses who actually survive longer in domestication than in the wild. One can also drastically compare your justification to keeping slaves and excusing yourself by saying that “atleast we keep them well fed”.
Though I know my example is one extreme pole of our argument but still we are not far from the truth. I am not sure what effect the wild life conservationist will be able to have against your policy of capturing wild dolphins but I sincerely hope you put a stop to this.
Regards

Dear all,
Thank you for your interest in our Marine Life Park. We respect that there will always be divergent views regarding animals in zoological organizations, but we strongly believe that well-run facilities provide strong and inspiring messages to visitors and can make a tangible difference to animal conservation.
While television documentaries and other media play a great role in creating awareness, deeply personal encounters with animals, such as learning about their behaviour, care and needs of species from their caregivers first hand, have shown great impact on fostering awareness and advancing the protection of the species.
MLP shares the same goal as many segments of animal lovers to promote the conservation of dolphins, though we have differing views on the best way to carry it forward. Nevertheless, all segments make important contributions to their conservation. The MLP team is now working on educational and conservation programs, and will be sharing information on those projects in the coming months. We welcome ideas at csr@rwsentosa.com..
We apologise for not being able to reply to everyone. Do visit our website http://www.rwsentosa.com/language/en-US/Attractions/MarineLifeParkto know us better. The Marine Life Park is committed to engage with all persons who share our goal: the conservation of the oceans and its inhabitants. Our commitment has not changed.
Lastly, we would like to thank those who have given us support and encouragement. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
The Marine Life Park team
