Please see the story below about a traffic cop who saved this dying Rhesus Macaque. Mr. Shirshat, the traffic cop, is a regular at our hospital. He brings in a number of animals to be treated – and has also kept stray dogs inside his office premises against a lot of opposition from his Seniors.
Also, the treatment was started off immediately as soon ans the monkey was brought in. We at Thane SPCA never wait for paperwork to be finalised before initiating treatment. This is with the knowledge of the Forest Department. By the time the paperwork was finished the next day, the monkey had recuperated and was bolting down food. As of today, he is fine and waits his release.
