The Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra has adopted a stray dog and named him Chintamani (pic in the post). He has also appealed to the people to be sympathetic towards them and take care of them. He has said that we should try to protect and save the Indian species of dogs. This is indeed a wonderful gesture by the Governor of Rajasthan.
Not all RWAs are bad and not all presidents are dog haters. The RWA president of Sector 5 Gurugram Dinesh Vashisht is definitely an exception. He is a caregiver and feeds the stray dogs of his colony. He organises an annual vaccination drive for his furry friends as well To watch the wonderful man and his happy and secure four-legged friends kindly go on the link below:

Wish India had more such Governors like Kalraj Mishra and RWA presidents like Dinesh Vashisht.
People for Animals an Animal welfare NGO has come out with a unique animal welfare fellowship called Ahimsa. There are 20 fellowships for a period of 10 months. The fellowship includes an internship, experiential learning, stipend and placement opportunities. This is the first time a fellowship in the area of animal welfare has been announced in India. Wish the Govt of India and various ministries working for animal welfare could also start such fellowships. To know more about the fellowship kindly go on the link below:
