MCD conducting Anti Rabies Vaccination Camp on 6/7/2011 ALL OVER DELHI

Dear Friends,

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is conducting anti rabies vaccination camps all over Delhi on 6-7-2011. The schedule is given below. Please be at these locations and help get all your dogs and cats vaccinated free of cost. MCD also needs help from local volunteers and animal lovers to make this a success all over Delhi. Please chose a representative from your area who can stay in touch with the local Veterinary officer whose mobile numbers have been given below.

This initiative of MCD is headed by Dr. Alok Agarwal, (Chief Veterinary Officer, Rabies Control Programme-cum-Member Secretary SSCBC, MCD.)

Since Dr Agarwal has taken over MCD dept. there has been absolute honesty & sanctity in sterilization and vaccination programs all over Delhi. Even during the Common Wealth Games he made sure all dogs by MCD went back to their locations and a video record was maintained for anyone to see. Now its our turn to support MCD.

So please participate in this program and make Delhi a model for other cities to look at. I am also attaching 3 posters we use during such camps to distribute to people. If possible please make photocopies and distribute them in the colonies on the same day.

As discussed, Anti Rabies Vaccination camps are being organised by the MCD in coordination with NGOs associated with MCD, on World Zoonosis Day i.e. 6/7/2011 as per the following schedule:

Please make this program a success by participating and making the city know that the animal lovers of Delhi and the municipal corporations are not just pro animals, but also pro humans. Lets get more people on board.

I also have a suggestion that while we all meet on this day, lets build a data base of animal lovers all over city which can be shared with each other. Such a list should also be given to MCD (which I can make sure) so when the ABC AR program is going on there is no dog which is displaced.
