We are very happy to share with all of you that on the basis of a complaint lodged by Avis Lyons of Animal Rescue Kerela, the attached orders have been passed in Trivandam, the capital of Kerela. This is to stop all dog killings and start the ABC Project in the region. A deadline of 1 month to put it all togather has also been mentioned.
This is the best thing that happened to Kerela after Avis Lyons, now this will be used to initiate the same project in other parts of the State too. We too were present at the hearing in the court and are glad that the point with regard to the time frame and indiscriminate killing of dogs has been taken.
We then also met the Chief Secretary and updated him with regard to the order so that this could be taken at a State level.
This has been a team effort of Avis and her lawyer friend – Hari and they are lucky to get the due support from PFA Trivandrum.
We are helping Avis in her very courageous efforts and God bless her- Kerela is very lucky to have her.
Best Wishes.
For PFA Chandigarh,
Payal Sodhi.
