updates for Champ – He is doing ok. As in burnt cases, in humans or in animals, we have to wait for 1 or 2 to get to know exact damage, internally or externally. I just spoke with Dr Kasbekar, who himself is a well known, very Senior cancer surgeon , for humans. At present they are applying wet bandages in the wound and giving saline. Treatment is on. Tomorrow or day after will take the decision. Champ will be taken to Dr. Bharat for further treatment. Doctor Kadbekar added that if required he will take consultation from a plastic surgeon, who is a good friend of him. Today Camp’s blood samples are sent to Venjy’s lab.
Update 5th May: We visited Champ yesterday, 4th May, at Mission Possible. Satyajeet who was the first caller for Champ on 2nd May was also present. While his condition remains critical, there is an improvement in his movement and strength. Today afternoon Dr. Bharat will be visiting to check on the dog. We have been told that he and Dr. Kulkarni will be performing the surgery. The timetable for the same will also be updated once Dr. Bharat sees Champ later today. We also have a potential adopter for Champ who is willing to give him a better life once he recovers. Going by Padmini Maam’s assessment, we do believe that he will recover, especially now that over 200 people are rooting for him.
