With the beginning of March, every vegetarian advocate and animal activist’s mind should turn to March 20, also known as the “ Meat Out day”
Meat Out is an international observance helping individuals evolve to a wholesome, compassionate diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains helping them kick the meat habit on March 20th, at least for the day, and explore a more wholesome, less violent diet. The purpose is to expose the public to the joys and benefits of a plant-based diet and compassion towards animals.
“Meat Out” has grown explosively since its inception in 1985 to become the world’s largest annual grassroots diet education campaign. Thousands of caring people like you in USA, Canada, France, Great Britain, India, Israel, Nigeria, Switzerland and host of other countries welcome the month of March with colorful educational events asking people to “kick the meat habit on March 20 and explore a wholesome and nonviolent diet”
This March, Animal Rights International (ARI) along with other vegetarian advocates and animal activist’s has joined Farm Animal Reform Movement (FARM) USA, to reach out a goal of convincing people to take the vegetarian pledge on March 20th! To save the animals, protect the environment, and improve health.
Every 1% dropped in national meat consumption prevents the needless suffering and death of billions of animals per year – more than the number killed in all the laboratories and pounds.
A joint report published by World Cancer Research Fund, U.K., and American Cancer Research Institute, vide page 522 their first recommendation reads as under:
“Choose predominantly plant based diets rich in a variety of vegetables and fruits, pulses (legumes) and minimally processed starchy staple foods”
FAO have also found that meat causes 18% of global warming. The ill effects of global warming are well known as such it is necessary to reduce meat for the better health of the people, planet and animals.
To promote and educate masses to leave the meat habit for saving the animals, protecting the environment, and improving health ARI invite you to take part in our “Meat Out” goal this March.
