PRESS RELEASE
A group of NGOs and concerned citizens have joined hands to combat the menace of plastics, particularly polythene bags which are not only affecting the environment, but also the wandering cows on the streets of India. The cows who go around looking for food, since grass is rarely available to graze upon, they scavenge on leftovers in plastic bags. These bags later on accumulate in their stomach to such an extent that it becomes impossible for them to even chew food and they die a slow, torturous death.
To discuss various possibilities of reduction, elimination and safe disposal various experts have been called including the CEO of Noida Authority, the DM, SSP, Pollution Control Board, Lawyers, and other experts.
All resident welfare associations, gram pradhans, and other citizens including principals of schools, shopkeepers associations have been called to participate in the program.
